Board of Directors
Following members are currently serving the BOD of Asasah:

Mr. Babar Aziz - Chairperson
He has over 24 years of experience in financial and grants management (including sub-grants & sub-contracts), risk identification and management, supply-chain management, IT management, security management, procurement & logistics management and government liaison in national & international environments.
  Mr. Anwar Rashid - Director
Being an associate of Dr. Akhter Hameed, he is the pioneer of Social development sector in Pakistan. Besides currently holding the position of Director in the BOD he is working as a visiting faculty member at LUMS, NIPA, K.U and adviser & member of various development institutions (e.g. ADO, SRSP, CDN, OPE etc).
  Mr. Iftikhar Qureshi - Director
He is a Director in the BOD and has over 25 years of experience in Management, Human resource Development and Marketing in Corporate Sector.

Ms. Ambreen Imran - Director
She is a Business Development Expert and Experienced in running a software house. 

  Ms. Naseem Shirin - Director
As a consultant she has worked in close liaison with the government at national and district level, international donors, civil society organizations, and communities.
  Ms. Ayesha Khan - Director
A long standing Development Practitioner and Social Activist providing professional advice to international multilateral aid agencies such as the World Bank, ADB, the European Union, the UN agencies and working with bilateral donors like the Swss, CIDA, DFID and Germans, GTZ in various collaborative capacities for more than 18 years.

 

Management

Ms. Tabinda Jaffery
Chief Executive Officer
She is the Chief Executive Officer having 15 years of practical experience in Micro Finance Sector, besides her lifelong involvement in social development programs on both national and district levels. She chairs Audit Committee of the BoD of Pakistan Microfinance Network (PMN). She is an acknowledged trainer and consultant.
Ms. Zareen Aamir
Microfinance Program, Head
An MBA, she started her career from field operations of microfinance with one the largest MFI in the country. She is a founder member of Asasah and has been teaching MBA classes. She is Bouldrer certified.
Mr. Aamir Rana
Livelihoods Program, Head
He is a recognized Enterprise Development Trainer and Enterprise Development Specialists with an experience of over 10 years. Mr. Aamir Rana is an enterprise specialist with over 8 years of experience. He has a vast experience working with local to international development organization specific to enterprise, business development services, value chain and supporting business associations in value chains. His expertise include designing customized enterprise development programs/projects, development of training/capacity building manuals, delivering training, impact assessment, case-study and video script writing.
Ms. Bazgha Masoond
Finance & Account Dept, Head
As a finance manager, she has more than 8 years experience of corporate and microfinance sector as well. She has attended different international courses in microfinance’s finance management.

Ms. Naheed Ejaz
HRM, Head
Ms Naheed is a dynamic personality. She has complete hold of operations of microfinance at field level. She has been serving the organization as Training Head as well. She is a certified micro-enterprise development trainer, and has been a part of the training team that helped mid-wives in setting up community based birth-stations as an enterprise.
  Ms. Basma Masood
Internal Audit, Head
Has been associated with finance and internal audit departments of LUMS and Beacanhouse. Now she has been heading Asasah’s Internal Audit Department.

 

Organizational Structure

Asasah has developed a simple but effective organizational structure which has been working successfully ever since its inception. Organizational structure of Asasah today includes a Board of Directors (BOD), headed by a chairman, and consisting of six members including an observer director. BOD members possess diversity of skills, including financial, social and managerial expertise, to lead the organization by advising senior management on key issues and to critically analyze management's plans and reports. In addition to this, all policy matters are endorsed by the BOD. However, key decisions are taken by the Chief Executive Officer in consultation with the BOD.
